Shaheem Sanchez is a dancer and actor who just so happens to be deaf. Picking up the mantle of his deceased father, Shaheem's connection to dance is deeply personal. Deaf since the age of four, he moves to the music through the vibrations he feels.

His passion for dance has inspired not only countless fans, but also his younger siblings. He has taught all of them how to dance and together they have formed Family First Dance Crew. His younger brother Lil Kida also went on to win the kids edition of So You Think You Can Dance @ CBS Studios, after being mentored by Shaheem since the age of 4.

Sometimes, we can’t stop others from placing limitations on us. But author Wayne Dyer stated, “The only limits you have are the limits you believe.” Shaheem’s story really emphasizes this point and can serve as an example for us all. You can do what you put your mind to, don’t listen to anyone who may say otherwise.
