Description

The Arts Nonprofit Intern will work closely with the Program Manager to coordinate and deliver art-based empowerment programming to the community. This position requires a minimum of a 9 month commitment.

This position will work 1-2 days each week in our Santa Clarita office (91355). This role is ideal for reliable candidates pursuing or considering work in the fields of arts education, youth work, community engagement, social work, or nonprofit management.

Responsibilities will vary widely but may include the following:

• Support Facilitators in the preparation of art materials for elementary and transitional age youth (TAY) programs
• Assist Program Manager in day to day operations to carry out Volunteer Program
• Assist Program Manager to coordinate Art Exchange, ML’s artist collaboration project
• Co-facilitate elementary programming (training provided; ML staff present for all sessions)
• Support monthly weekend art event in Pacoima and/or Palmdale
• Help plan 2026 Art Exhibit
• Develop supporting materials such as infographics, handouts, or game boards for trainings developed by Program Manager
• Help plan and run special family events
