Who: Adults ages 18+
What: Work alongside Million Little Facilitators to bring art-based, trauma-informed social emotional learning to youth!
When: Program runs for 3 months between January-June 2024 and requires a commitment of 1-2 days per week during that time.
Full Overview
Interns will devise and deliver art-based social emotional learning for our young adult offering, Creative Leadership. This dynamic two-part program promotes self-expression, entrepreneurship, and job readiness skills among high school and transitional aged youth. Participants develop creativity, leadership, and confidence to become agents of change in their communities. Interns will support ML Facilitators in the preparation and transportation of materials, co-facilitation of content at school and community sites, and logging of field notes for this highly engaging, strengths-based program.
Requirements
- Age 18+
- Thoughtful engagement in ML’s Intern training
- A passing Live Scan background check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
- TB test (only for some partner sites)
- Commitment to in-person internship for 3+ months
- Ability to comfortably lift 30-40 pounds
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license/auto insurance
- Willingness to drive to program sites within LA County
- Ability to be flexible and creative under unexpected circumstances.
- Passion for working with children and families
